About me
I live in Cape Town, South Africa in a suburb called Claremont, nested behind Table Mountain and near the Newlands cricket ground. I love soccer, golf, squash and most sports. I live with my lovely wife Adeleida and a little cat Nino in an old old house that is not entirely stable.
I work for IBM as a Technical Specialist looking after the Lotus, Workplace and share responsibility for the WebSphere brand. Mainly I focus on Portal and Domino technologies, but my passion is Sametime.
In my spare time I repair the house so it doesn’t fall down. If IBM and my wife allow me I’ll indulge in fixing my arcade cabinet and add some new emulated games. My wife and I love watching the high quality TV series out at the moment such as Boston Legal and House.
We aim to retire wealthy and to have the house still standing by that time.
Howzit Grant, saw Ed post a link to your site. Welcome to the blogosphere dude!!!

Hello,
I found your blog with a internet search about my problem, so if you could give me a little help I would appreciate
So, my pb is quite simple but nervous. I cannot login to my Sametime with a Internet ( IE5 or IE6 ) browser. It works fine with Firefox or Opera but not IEE !!!!!!
I cannot understand this, and didn’t find any help on the Lotus Notes Sametime forum
So perhaps you have an idea ?
Many thanks from France for your help, and excuse my poor english

Hi Grant,
I want to surprise my wife by building an arcade for her (for real). We are both children of the 80s and spent lots of time playing arcade games together. She was specifically hooked on Pacman… need I say more. Anyway, I have built a P4, installed the software, loaded Mame and now am doing research in building the actual arcade. HELP!!! I need advice on where to get I-PAC, it seems to be the best; as well as the Ultrastick 360. Is there a local supplier, I too am in the Mother City (CT ofcourse).
Cheers,

Hi, Grant. Have you ever implemented Sametime 7.5 pulling business card information from two repositories? We are trying to do so (both Notes databases) and are having a hard time making it work. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Don

Hello Grant,
I ‘ve got a small question for you.
I am trying to put photos to the Business card in Sametime version 8.0 by using your pdf file that is being published on the web.But I have a problem when I try to access “administrator tool” by running the “stcenter.nsf” through the webbrowser. Because it requires username and password.
When I try to enter my Domino administrator ID and my own sametime password, it won’t work. As a result I am not able to access “administrator tool”.
Could you please tell me which password and user id should I have to use?
Thank for your time and interest.
